Renowned rock photographer Ross Halfin pops up with new work at an exhibition during this month's Festival of Sound

At the Festival of Sound, The Music and Audio Show, running 27-30 September, celebrated rock photographer Ross Halfin is showing not only a selection from his collection of rare vintage rock posters, but new portraits too.

His new portraits feature artists including Queens of The Stone Age, Foo Fighters, Hollywood Vampires, Jimmy Page and The Who, while his poster collection features gems from the past four decades, including the likes of Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, Queen, The Who, Emerson Lake & Palmer and Mott The Hoople.

Asked about exhibiting his poster collection, Ross said, “I decided it was time to show some of my vintage poster collection, as they capture a moment in time for so many of the world’s greatest bands. I hope visitors to Festival of Sound will enjoy seeing them alongside my collection of new portraits.”

Vernon Hamblin, producer of Festival of Sound, added, “Ross Halfin’s exhibitions have become a mainstay of our event and I’m thrilled he has chosen to bring such a rare snapshot of rock’s history to Festival of Sound this year. I’m sure Ross Halfin fans as well as our music-loving audience will find his exhibition fascinating.”
