Only The Poets and Nikon back rising music photographers
Prepare to get behind the lens with Only The Poets and Nikon as ten photographers are given the opportunity to capture the band's sold-out Brixton gig

Nikon is partnering with rising Britpop band Only The Poets to give young photographers a chance to kickstart their music photography careers. Ten emerging photographers will be selected to attend the band’s show at the O2 Academy Brixton on 2 February 2026. There they will receive exclusive access, professional Nikon equipment and Nikon Ambassador mentorship to help them capture the band’s high-energy performance
Only The Poets’ ethos is rooted in making live music accessible to everyone, exemplified by the band offering £1 tickets for their upcoming O2 Academy Brixton show. Inspired by this inclusive philosophy, Nikon is helping to lower the barriers to entry in music photography through this exclusive partnership.
The ten aspiring photographers will use Nikon’s latest mirrorless cameras and lenses in the pit for the first three songs. The competition winners will also receive mentorship from music and portrait photographer Scarlet Page, as well as Only The Poets’ tour photographer, creative lead and assistant manager, Jordan Logan. Additionally, industry tutorials and workshops will be offered before and after the event, providing invaluable guidance.
Coinciding with the release of their debut album, And I’d Do It Again, Only The Poets hopes to offer winners an intimate perspective of the band’s live performance. Logan says, “Getting into music photography usually means having the right kit and access before you’ve even had a chance to learn. Not everyone has that. Partnering with Nikon UK lets us open up access and invite aspiring photographers to shoot our sold-out Brixton show.”
Applications are open until 25 January 2026 on Only The Poets’ website. Winners will be picked at random and contacted by 26 January. Plus, all participants will receive Nikon gear discounts after the gig to help keep their photography journey rolling.
