Lexar Silver Series gains new cards

Posted on Feb 25, 2021

The Lexar Silver Series has expanded with the addition of new Professional 1066x SDXC UHS-I Silver Series cards. The storage giant has designed the SD cards for the use of photographers and videographers up to a professional level, and are suitable for various mirrorless or DSLR bodies.

The cards all offer impressive read speeds up to 160MB/s (1066x, U3 or V30 in the various speed classes) and write speeds up to 120MB/s, save for the smallest capacity option, which is capped at a write speed of 70MB/s. This degree of performance renders the Lexar Silver Series options capable of capturing a number of large Raw stills in quick succession or sustained video up to 4K. Not to mention, these feats can be attained in higher frame rates.

The additions to the Lexar Silver Series have been designed to function effectively in tough conditions. Each member of the Silver Series family is water-, shock-, vibration- and X-ray proof.

The new SD cards come in an array of capacities, including 64GB, 128GB, 256GB and 512GB. They are available to purchase now and are priced at £26.99, £45.99, £84.99 and £155.99, respectively.

For more information on these new SD cards, please visit the Lexar website.
