Sorry to depress you, but we are already heading back to the long nights of winter so it’s definitely time to make the most of the remaining summer.
It is a great time to shoot but it is not all plain sailing. While it’s pleasantly warm, the light is not always photogenic. In fact, the light for much of the day can be very harsh and not that great for landscapes. It means you have to work for your pictures, getting up extra early and staying out late for attractive light.
That’s not to say that strong sun isn’t worth shooting. You just have to change your way of thinking and think laterally about what to shoot. Look for shadows, contrast and plays of light.
Enjoy the summer.
