Broncolor packs 800 joules into compact flash

Designed for studio and location work alike, Broncolor’s Stelos 800 L is a powerful monolight

Swiss lighting innovator Broncolor has unveiled the Stelos 800 L, a compact yet powerful monolight designed for professionals who demand speed, precision and flexibility in any environment. Delivering 800 joules of flash energy in the brand’s most portable form factor to date, the Stelos makes it easier than ever to bring premium Broncolor light quality on location. Despite its small footprint, the Stelos is packed with advanced features – but it costs £3246.

Photographers can now adjust flash colour temperature, a tool previously limited to high-end power packs. An integrated LED modelling light offers variable colour temperatures from 2700–6500K, while high-speed sync (HSS) ensures the unit can keep pace with fast-moving shoots.

The Stelos runs on a universal V-mount battery system, supporting both Broncolor and third-party batteries, with the ability to charge while in use via USB-C. This open approach reduces costs, simplifies rental logistics and offers environmental benefits compared with proprietary systems.

Operation is simple thanks to a bright LCD screen, configurable display modes and just two buttons plus a rotary/push encoder. The robust bayonet mount supports broncolor’s full modifier ecosystem and built-in Wi-Fi ensures seamless integration with bronControl, bronAPI and RFS 2/3 transmitters.

With its compact size, 90° tilt bracket, and multi-colour ID lights for easy set management, the Stelos 800 L combines Swiss engineering with user-focused design.
