Eizo’s 4K HDR monitor shines for editing experts

The 31-inch Eizo sustainable CG3100X monitor for serious creators is green and grade-ready

Eizo has announced the ColorEdge CG3100X, a 30.5-inch color management monitor designed for high-end post-production workflows. Joining the brand’s 4K lineup, the CG3100X delivers true DCI 4K resolution (4096 x 2160) and supports HDR workflows with a peak brightness of 500 cd/m² – up from 350 cd/m² in the previous CG319X.

Tailored for professional colour accuracy, the monitor supports both PQ and HLG gamma curves, offering better visual alignment with human perception compared to SDR. Its 1800:1 contrast ratio ensures rich blacks and detailed shadows, essential for accurate grading and editing in cinematic and broadcast environments.

USB-C support adds power

Eizo’s built-in Pixel Inspection feature allows users to compare source input data with on-screen output at a pixel level, helping post-production teams ensure their display settings align with project specs. The inclusion of a USB-C port supports streamlined workflows, offering video, data and 94W charging over a single cable.

The monitor uses Fixed Rate Link (FRL), compatible with the latest HDMI standards to support 12-bit signal handling and high-speed compressed video. Calibration is fully integrated using Eizo’s ColorNavigator 7 software and an internal sensor – eliminating the need for third-party devices.

Environmentally, the CG3100X uses over 85% recycled plastic in its construction and ships in sustainable pulp-based packaging. Price has not yet been revealed.
