Hasselblad expands its X System with the announcement of two new accessories

Try shooting remotely with the Hasselblad Release Cord X and charge dual batteries with the new Battery Charging Hub

Hasselblad has announced the release of the Hasselblad Release Cord X, which allows users to shoot remotely with the X1D-50c. The release has only one button to open and close the shutter and a 90cm durable cord that connects to the X1D-50c microphone port.

When shooting with autofocus, a single press on the button focuses the camera and then releases the shutter. When in manual focus, the shutter can be fired without delay. The release cord also supports continuous shooting, allowing you to capture multiple frames by holding down the button. Priced at £64, the Hasselblad Release Cord X is available in April.

Also new is the Hasselblad Battery Charging Hub, which supports two batteries: both first-generation 3200mAh X System batteries and the current 3400mAh batteries. A single battery can be charged in two hours and 18 minutes, or dual batteries in two hours and 48 minutes, while the first-generation 3200mAh battery can be charged in approximately three hours. With an integrated USB Type-C connector, the hub supports mains power or can be connected via an external battery bank, giving you the option to charge on the go.

Its design features front-facing LEDs that indicate the battery’s status and capacity, meaning you can also check up on how much power your battery has by inserting it. Once the battery is fully charged the hub lets you know with an audible chime. The Battery Charging Hub is also available in April for £115.
