LEE Filters unveils Elements range

Posted on Nov 5, 2021

The LEE Elements range offers high-performance circular filters, complete with LEE’s renowned technologies

This week, LEE filters announced a new range of high-performance circular filters for photographers and videographers: LEE Elements. The series consists of five filter types: Little Stopper (offering 6 stops of light reduction), Big Stopper (10 stops of light reduction), CPL (a circular polariser) and two densities of VND (variable ND, with 2-5 or 6-9 stops of light reduction). All filters are available in four standard sizes: 76mm, 72mm, 77mm and 82mm. The lenses incorporate multilayer coated optics of the best quality to ensure optimum optical performance.

The CPL and VND filters incorporate fluid rotation mechanics that ensure smooth, silent operation, making them well-suited to videography. The VND filters offer real-time exposure control in dynamic lighting situations to support long-exposure photography and video content creation. They have also been designed to eliminate the risk of cross-polarisation anomalies, ensuring optimum image quality.

Boasting a black anodised aluminium frame, the filters are robust and easy to attach to the lens or camera without the need for a filter holder. This is the first time that LEE’s renowned Stopper filters for long-exposure photography are available in a circular format that supports shooting on the go. Both the Little Stopper and Big Stopper also feature stackable housing so that they can be combined to meet the demands of different shooting scenarios. The rotating CPL and VND filters can also be stacked in front of a Stopper for greater flexibility.

All LEE Elements incorporate scratch-resistant and anti-reflective coatings and provide advanced protection against moisture and fingerprints. A knurled finish gives the filters good grip, so that they can be used in challenging weather environments – even when wearing gloves.

Each filter comes with its own impact-resistant hard case, ensuring that the filter can be easily stored and protected from potential damage.

The LEE Elements range in price, beginning at £162.00 for the CPL filter. For more information, visit LEE Filter’s website.
