Manfrotto launches new tripods and bag

Posted on Mar 19, 2020

The Manfrotto Element MII tripods and Manhattan Runner-50 roller bag are designed for photographers on the go.

The first of Manfrotto’s new additions, the Element MII Collection, features compact and lightweight tripods and monopods, designed for cameras and smartphones alike.

Available in aluminium and carbon fibre models, the tripods extend to 160cm and fold down to 42.5cm, weighing just 1.55kg and 1.35kg respectively. The MII tripods can safely support up to 8kg of gear, while the monopod can support almost double that.

An aluminium ball head features a dual-lock design, with one knob to control the ball’s movement and another to control 360° independent panning. The 200PL-PRO Light plate is also included, which is compatible with Arca-type and Manfrotto RC2 head attachments. The tripods also feature patented leg angle selectors and a rapid leg opening system with new ergonomic twist locks.

Element MII tripods come with an RRP of £114.99, while the Element MII Mobile tripods retail at £174.95, and the Element MII Monopod at £44.95. There’s also an Element MII Mobile BT option with a Bluetooth remote control, which has an RRP of £149.99.

Manfrotto Runner-50 camera bag

Manfrotto’s second new offering, the Manhattan Runner-50 roller bag, is designed for travelling photographers. All gear is stored in a removable insert which can be worn as a separate backpack, cushioned by Manfrotto’s Flexy Camera Shell. Gear and personal belongings can be configured in a number of ways, and there are two outside pockets as well as a padded, 15-inch laptop sleeve.

With travellers in mind, the backpack meets cabin baggage regulations, has ergonomic side and bottom handles for comfortable carrying, and features silent wheels.

The Manhattan Runner-50 is available for £255.95.
