Nanlite zoom projection lens gives creative control

Nanlite expands its light shaping options with Bowens-mount zoom lens for LED hard lights

Nanlite has introduced a compact and versatile new tool, the Bowens-mount Projection Attachment 25°–45°. It is designed for precision and portability, and features a smooth zoom range from 25° to 45° beam angles, making it an ideal solution for filmmakers, photographers, and content creators who require fast, controlled lighting on set.

Weighing just 2.68kg, the new projection lens is light enough to be mounted directly onto Bowens-mount LED fixtures under 800W without the need for an additional yoke or bracket. This includes Nanlite’s popular Forza, FC, and FS series spotlights, as well as compatible models from other brands.

Built for speed and flexibility, the lens allows users to adjust beam angle by rotating the lens barrel – without removing gobos or shutters. This 360° rotation simplifies setups and enables creative transitions between medium and wide beam coverage. High-precision aspherical optics, anti-reflective coatings and a matte-finish inner barrel combine to minimise chromatic aberrations and stray light, resulting in sharp, colour-accurate projections.

Gobo holder is built in

The system includes a built-in gobo holder (compatible with standard M-size gobos), adjustable shutters and a gel frame for quick light modifications. Four gobos are included, with optional gobo sets and an 18-blade iris diaphragm also available.

Crafted from high-thermal-conductivity aluminium alloy and durable composite materials, the unit is built to handle demanding, high-output environments. Its compact size, heat resistance, and included shock-resistant carry bag make it practical for both studio and location work. It costs $389 but a UK price has not yet been revealed.  For more information, visit www.nanlite.com.
