Nikon Film and Photo Contest 2024-2025 nears deadline

This year’s Nikon Film and Photo Contest, themed ‘Inspire’, invites visual artists worldwide to participate in one of two categories: Single Photo or Photo Story by 16 March 2025.

Established in 1969, the contest has evolved into one of the most respected international photography and film competitions. Last year’s event saw over 35,000 entrants from 180 countries, with more than 70,000 submissions showcasing extraordinary creativity and storytelling.

Marking its 40th edition, the contest has been rebranded as the Nikon Film and Photo Contest, reflecting an expanded focus on both still photography and filmmaking. A notable addition this year is a new 15-Minute Film Category, providing greater creative scope for filmmakers.

A panel of industry-leading judges, including returning lead judge Sarah Leen, former National Geographic director of photography, will evaluate the submissions. Winners will be announced in September 2025.
