Rode adds power to Wireless Micro with free on-camera receiver

The Wireless Micro Camera Receiver offers creators a seamless switch from smartphone to camera audio with zero fuss

Rode has launched the Wireless Micro Camera Receiver, a powerful new add-on that transforms its Wireless Micro system into a true hybrid audio solution for filmmakers. The new receiver is designed to make switching between smartphone and camera setups completely seamless – and it’s being offered free of charge to all new and existing Wireless Micro users (plus shipping).

This compact, dual-channel receiver connects with up to two Wireless Micro transmitters and is fully compatible with any camera. It features intelligent plug-in power detection to extend battery life, dedicated gain controls and best-in-class wireless range. Designed with content creators and filmmakers in mind, it’s ideal for everything from vlogging and YouTube videos to full-scale productions.

“Today’s creators are constantly jumping between devices,” said Damien Wilson, CEO of Rode. “This new receiver meets that need for flexibility, delivering the professional audio performance users expect – now with even greater versatility.”

The Wireless Micro system has earned high praise since launch. It already offered Bluetooth connectivity, a 21-hour charging case and smartphone-ready USB-C and Lightning options. The addition of a sleek, ultra-light camera receiver further extends its reach.

To claim the new receiver, US users can register their Wireless Micro at account.rode.com and pay a small shipping fee. New buyers in the UK, Europe and Australia can add it at no extra cost when purchasing directly from rode.com.
