Rode introduces Wireless Go (Gen 3)
Rode has announced the Wireless Go (Gen 3), the latest iteration of its wireless microphone system
A key addition to the Rode Wireless Go (Gen 3) is 32-bit float on-board recording, allowing users to restore audio if initially recorded too quietly or at excessive volume levels.
Utilising Rode’s Series IV 2.4 GHz digital transmission with 128-bit encryption, the Wireless Go (Gen 3) aims to deliver stable performance at distances of up to 260m line of sight.
Compatibility and design
To reduce manual adjustments during recording, the system incorporates GainAssist technology, which automatically balances audio levels on the fly.
A safety channel and flexible output gain control help maintain consistent audio quality, while both digital (USB-C) and analogue (3.5mm TRRS) outputs ensure easy integration with cameras, smartphones and computers.
Headphone monitoring with adjustable levels and locking connectors for external lavalier microphones further broaden its usability.
A plug-in power-detect feature works to conserve battery life by synchronising device power states.
Colour range and accessories
In addition to classic black and white, the Wireless Go (Gen 3) introduces a variety of limited-edition colours, including red, orange, green, purple, pink, blue, cobalt, clay, lilac, stone, rose and moss.
Users can adjust configurations via the Rode Central app on computers or smartphones, enabling quick changes to suit a range of production environments.
The system also integrates with RØDE’s Series IV family of products, such as Rode Caster Pro II, Rode Caster Video and Interview PRO.
To accompany this release, Rode has introduced the Charge Case+, a dedicated accessory designed for convenient transport and battery management.
It delivers two full recharges and allows simultaneous data access for transferring recordings, updating firmware and adjusting settings.
