See the winners of the 2023 World Sports Photography Awards, telling tales of perseverance, passion and teamwork

Every year, the World Sports Photography Awards showcases the true spirit of sports while celebrating the talent and creativity of sports photographers. Poised with a finger on the shutter button, photographers capture the key moments so integral to storytelling in sports.

24 images made the final cut this year, spanning an array of sports disciplines. From exhilarating action shots to empowering images of teamwork and perseverance, elite athletes are exhibited alongside grass-roots origins across American Football, Extreme Sports, Gymnastics, Football, Golf and more.

Sophie Collins, CMO at MPB said: “As a judge, and as a sponsor of the 2023 ‘World Sports Photography Awards’, I was incredibly impressed by the quality of this year’s entries. The art of photography is about encapsulating emotions and feelings in an instant, and being able to tell a compelling story which aims to inspire the spectator long after they’ve experienced it.
