Summer shots and fresh plans at NFPS

North Fylde Photographic Society begins its new season on 2 September with a friendly welcome evening for new and returning members

The North Fylde Photographic Society (NFPS) will open its new season on Tuesday 2 September 2025 with a free-to-attend welcome evening in Carleton.

The evening is designed to give new members a warm introduction to the club and a chance to mingle with returning members in a relaxed and friendly setting. A selection of images taken during the summer break will be shown, featuring shots from club outings along the Fylde coast as well as members’ travels further afield.

Alongside the social element, the evening will also include a short overview of the year ahead, including details of guest speakers, themed workshops and internal and external competitions. Successful prints from last season’s regional competitions will also be on display.

The event takes place at St Martin and St Hilda Church Hall, Fleetwood Road, Carleton (adjacent to the Castle Gardens pub, FY6 7NU), starting at 7.30pm. Refreshments will be available, and entry is free of charge on this opening night.

Membership forms and the new syllabus are available on the club’s website at northfylde-ps.co.uk or on the evening itself.
