The Bird in Flight Prize is open for entries

The winner will be awarded €2000, as chosen by a panel of international judges, including French photographer Antoine d’Agata

The Bird in Flight Prize is now open for entries from photographers from all over the world. The main prize is the generous sum of €2000, though a range of prizes are on offer.

The top ten projects will be published by Bird in Flight and displayed at the exhibition at the Set art space in Kyiv in October.

The winner of the Panasonic Readers’ Choice Award – shortlisted by the editors of Bird in Flight, with the winner selected by online public vote – will win a Panasonic Lumix GX9 camera.

Finally, 15 participants will be selected for in-depth reviews of their work by select members of the competition jury, including Antoine d’Agata, Ola Lanko and Dmitry Kostyukov.

While theme is entirely unrestricted, Bird in Flight is seeking photographers who think outside the box of traditional artistic standards.

2018 winner, Valentine Bo

Deadline for entries is 12 August 2019. Winner announcement and the award ceremony will take place on 11 October 2019 in Kyiv.

Submissions are accepted on the contest page, here.
