As we grow older and wiser, we realise that our strongest memories stem from adventures undertaken and places visited, rather than material possessions.

Untamed Photo Safaris offers remarkable and highly memorable small group photographic safaris in the African continent, elevating wildlife photography enthusiasts to new levels with carefully selected destinations and stylish African wilderness experiences.

Shooting alongside leading professional wildlife photographers Mark A Fernley and his wife Jaren, you’ll be assisted and educated in obtaining professional wildlife images of a lifetime.

From operating the camera and getting that winning shot out on safari, to working on the image back at camp, Untamed Photo Safaris’ photographers are here for each client to help improve their wildlife photography skills.

As there are a maximum of just six guests for each unique photographic safari, space is allowed for those larger lenses – plus there’s the luxury of being able to enjoy a more exclusive African wildlife photographic experience.

Destinations that deliver

Untamed Photo Safaris’ photographic tours visit some of the world’s top-voted wildlife destinations, guaranteeing guests some remarkable sightings which are perfect for improving their image-making abilities.

Each location in Kenya, Tanzania, Botswana and Uganda also hosts remarkable luxury lodges and tented camps that immerse guests in the untouched world of Africa’s wildlife.

All while providing a perfect place to relax after an exciting day on a photo safari. Each unique lodge offers extravagant cuisine, spacious rooms and exceptional views of each wildlife hotspot.

During your time with Untamed Photo Safaris, you’ll experience jaw-dropping encounters with African animals and those once-in-a-lifetime moments we all search for.

Each outing involves well-trained local guides in positioning guests toward the correct position for that perfect photograph. A professional photographer in each safari car will ensure everybody obtains the best results possible.

Once back at the lodge, guests can also enjoy talks and guidance on how to edit and improve their images with help from post-processing programs.

Attendees are also given a booklet on wildlife photography tips and tricks, along with a wildlife sightings list. Rest assured, this will be one trip you will never forget.

Head to the below URL for details of incredible photo safaris planned for 2024. These include a Gorilla and Chimpanzee Photo Tour in Uganda, trekking through untouched rainforests in one of the most biodiverse places on the planet and a Masai Mara Photo Safari in Kenya – allowing you to get up close with some of Africa’s apex predators.
