World Food Photography Awards 2025: final call

Photographers from around the world have until Sunday 9 February 2025 to submit their entries to the World Food Photography Awards

The Food Photography Awards 2025 is putting out its final call for amateurs and professionals to participate in the competition, which is dedicated to showcasing creativity and storytelling through food photography.

There is a diverse selection of 25 categories, including themes such as politics, celebration, street photography, and food styling.

This year introduces two new categories: The World of Drinks, highlighting beverage photography, and The Jamie Oliver Youth Prize, a free-to-enter category for participants aged 17 and under.

The total prize pool exceeds £10,000, featuring cash prizes of up to £5,000, mentoring sessions, magazine features and an opportunity to attend the awards evening. Finalists’ work will also be exhibited at the Mall Galleries in London during May 2025.

The competition will be judged by an international panel led by acclaimed food photographer David Loftus. Other judges include representatives from the culinary, photography and creative industries, such as Claire Reichenbach, CEO of The James Beard Foundation, and Max La Manna, an award-winning digital creator.

Entry fees begin at £35 for six images, with a £7 option for single entries in the On the Phone category, £2 of which will be donated to Action Against Hunger. Students and participants aged 17 and under can enter for free.
