Shimoda Introduces Urban Explore Backpack Series

Posted on Mar 12, 2024

Shimoda Design has launched its Urban Explore Series of backpacks, designed for photographers, videographers, and content creators

The series aims to meet the everyday needs of modern creatives in the urban environment. Crafted for ease of movement with a lightweight and versatile design.

Features

Available in three sizes, the Urban Explore backpacks cater for various equipment setups that go beyond just photography. The series includes a laptop sleeve compatible with up to 16” models, and a Capture Camera Clip mounting strap. Packs also feature a side opening offering easy camera access without removing the bag from your body.

Designed for travel, the backpacks comply with international carry-on regulations and include hidden pockets for passports, valuables and AirTags. Other features include a handy cable management pocket where a power bank can be stored with cables routed internally to charge your camera on the go.

A black Shimoda Urban Explore backpack positioned upright with a tripod secured on the side and a wallet and phone protruding from an unzipped side pocket, set against a white background.

Sustainability and Durability

The series’ ripstop shell is made from 100% post-consumer recycled polyester and has been DWR treated to repel moisture. There is also a removable rain cover for extra protection.

Pricing and Availability

Offered in two colorways, Anthracite and Boa, pricing ranges from £285.00 for the 20-litre model to £330.00 for the 30-litre model. The Urban Explore Series is now available in the UK and is backed by a 5-year warranty.
